The Summit is designed to present and discuss what we know and do not know about how vascular disease presents differently in women, and how intervention is impacted by gender. Featuring an international faculty, interactive group discussions and projects, mentorship program for vascular trainees, yoga, and an evening reception. After the flagship meeting in 2019, multiple research projects have been undertaken assessing differences in outcomes based on gender. The meeting also serves to connect women Vascular Surgeons and other practitioners involved in vascular disease from students to senior surgeons. What is this meeting about? Topics include the broad spectrum of vascular disorders including peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease, aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, access, and venous disease. Interactive group discussions will allow participants to ask questions and to work together to develop future research projects. Last year, we were able to fund 1 research project which developed out of the meeting, and it is our hope to continue this process, encouraging women to pursue research together and focusing on gender differences in vascular disease. The meeting is being held in Buffalo New York, at the University of Buffalo at the Gates Vascular Institute Clinical and TranslationalResearch Center We hope to see you in Buffalo!
