Mallorca 'Cyber ​​Talent Development Program' 'The Major Cyber ​​Talent Development Program' is a joint initiative of the University of the Balearic Islands and Palo Alto Networks that aims to promote the development of talent in Cybersecurity and technology of Palo Alto Networks to cover the growing demand needs of cybersecurity professionals in the Islands. As part of this initiative, the University of the Balearic Islands has begun the process to become the "Cybersecurity Academy" of Palo Alto Networks (Program).To launch and publicize the initiative, it has been decided to give a first free training course, outside the program, which is aimed at computer students of the UIB and professionals from companies in the Islands who are interested in training at Palo Alto Networks. The course chosen for the launch of the initiative will be held at the facilities of the UIB Campus, Carretera de Valldemossa, km 7.5, 07122 Palma, on 29,30 and 31 January, with the aim of covering the following aspects related to Palo Alto Networks' FW technology: - Learn how to Configure and Manage the essential functionalities of Palo Alto Networks® New Generation Firewalls.Learn to Configure and Manage GlobalProtect functionality to protect remote systems that are outside the corporate perimeter. Learn to Configure and Manage the high availability of a couple of FWs. - Learn to Monitor traffic and security alerts using the Graphical Interface and the Reporting capability of the FWs. The places for the course are limited, so if you are interested in attending the course, fill in the registration form as soon as possible. The available places will be assigned by strict order of registration. The University and Palo Alto Networks are planning to make a public announcement of the initiative and the collaboration agreement in the next weeks with a public event in which the main lines of action of the agreement and the possibilities of collaboration for the Public and Business Sectors of the Islands, which have an interest in promoting the creation of local talent with knowledge in Cybersecurity, will be presented.
