2024 Course OverviewThis is the 38th year of our postgraduate course in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery! Providing a unique function in the CME forum, it involves all of the Boston area medical centers - bringing together highly distinguished faculty, including leaders in the field who are recognized authorities on the national and international scale. The Linton Lecture, an ever-popular highlight of the course, will be presented this year by Dr. Michael Conte of the University of California, San Francisco. The course is a focused, up-to-date approach on topics of keen interest in vascular disease, including patient assessment by vascular surgeons and other vascular specialists. Talks provide perspectives on optimal approaches to evaluation, diagnosis and management (including technical performance in ‘How I Do It’ sessions) and offer specific evidence-based treatment options for a wide array of vascular problems. Additionally, we’ll address and discuss many existing controversies in the field. Learnings can translate into improved patient outcomes through a better understanding of pathogenesis, the diagnosis and natural history of the disease processes and how to select the optimal methodology for treatment. Register Today! Who Should AttendThe target audience for this postgraduate course includes clinical practitioners treating patients with arterial and venous vascular disease in any capacity Vascular SurgeonsVascular Medicine SpecialistsGeneral SurgeonsCardiovascular and Cardiothoracic surgeonsInterventional radiologistsCardiologistsUrologists and NephrologistsSpine and Orthopedic SurgeonsMany lectures for management of these patients will also be helpful for intensivists and emergency medicine personnel who see patients with vascular disease. Past participants have included attending physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, as well as surgical and medical trainees such as residents and fellows. Learning ObjectivesThe specialty of vascular surgery has evolved dramatically, but never more profoundly than in recent years. In view of the rapid development of novel, evolving technologies, the generation of information at a rate faster than at any time in history, and the unprecedented increases in population health concerns around circulatory disease, there has never been a more challenging time to be a vascular surgeon… or a time when it has been more critical to keep abreast of developments in the field! This course provides a unique function in educating attending surgeons as well as fellows, involving all of the Boston-area and major North East medical centers, providing perspectives from highly distinguished faculty, including many leaders in the field who are recognized authorities on a national and international scale. Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: Optimize carotid artery disease management.Evaluate carotid stenting and endarterectomy.Apply aortic aneurysm assessment guidelines.Manage endoleak after EVAR.Integrate evidence for venous insufficiency and thrombosis care.Assess and treat lower extremity ischemia.Choose between endovascular and open surgical therapies for peripheral artery occlusive disease.Minimize X-ray radiation exposure using effective methodologies.     URLs:Tickets: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-0?pid=5569 Website: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-3?pid=5569 Website: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-4?pid=5569 Website: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-5?pid=5569 Website: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-6?pid=5569 Website: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-7?pid=5569 Inquiries: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-8?pid=5569 Instagram: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-9?pid=5569 LinkedIn: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-10?pid=5569 Twitter: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-11?pid=5569 Twitter: https://go.evvnt.com/2240747-12?pid=5569  Date and Time: On Thu, 25 Apr 2024 06:00 - Sat, 27 Apr 2024 12:00 Venue details: The Colonnade Hotel, 120 Huntington Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts, 02116, United States Prices:Physicians: USD 750.00,Fellows and Residents: USD 300.00,PA, NP, APRN, CNP: USD 500.00,Allied Health (RVT/Tech): USD 350.00,HMS-Affiliated Fellows and Residents: USD 0.00 Speakers: Glen LaMuraglia, MD, Nikolaos Zacharias, MD, MPH, Jocelyn M.
