Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program for Healthcare Professionals 2025

Based on the Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program, this experiential program is designed to help people make beneficial lifestyle behavior changes. In this course, attendees learn about lifestyle medicine, and actively participate in classes designed to help create an individualized wellness plan. Learning in this personal manner helps participants counsel patients on making these same healthy behavior changes. A published study of the impact of the program has shown that there was a significant improvement in management of stress, levels of energy at work and home, and burnout in attendees that persisted for 6 months post program. Confidence to follow a healthy diet was significantly improved, frequency of continuing to lead an active lifestyle increased, and confidence to counsel patients on healthy lifestyle significantly increased. Learning Objectives- Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:1. Recognize the relationship among health behaviors, chronic disease, and quality of life2. Assess patient wellness in their own clinical practice3. Employ wellness concepts in their own life4. Demonstrate how to track health behaviors Target Audience: Healthcare professionals practicing in internal medicine, primary care, preventive medicine, concierge medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and endocrinology.
