The 18th Asia Pacific Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infection - APCCMI 2021 - will take place on 11 - 13 November at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre. This is likely to be a hybrid conference with online as well as on-site symposia. The congress brings together the latest in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, as well as science and medicine. There will be meet-the-expert sessions, keynote and plenary lectures, and multiple concurrent symposia by regional and international experts. We expect delegates from all across Asia, which will generate multiple opportunities to exchange ideas and establish collaboration. We plan to bring you the latest in industry exhibition featuring the latest drugs and vaccines, laboratory and scientific equipment and infection control technology. The Asia Pacific Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infection (APCCMI) covers topics such as:- Antimicrobial Stewardship, Pharmacology and New Agents- Antimicrobial Resistance- Diagnostic Microbiology- Bacterial Infection and Disease- Genomics and Microbiome- Fungal Infection and Disease- HIV/AIDS- Healthcare-associated and Nosocomial Infections, Infection Control- Parasitic Infection and Disease- Immunology and Vaccinology- Viral Infection and Disease The congress will focus on:- COVID-19- Advances in infection control, microbiome and vaccines; new antimicrobials and antimicrobial stewardship.- Advances in microbiology including rapid diagnostics, applications in whole genome sequencing, laboratory automation;- Antimicrobial resistance in humans and within the One Health context of animals, humans and the environment;- Challenges and progress in the three pandemic infections of HIV, Malaria and Tuberculosis;- Emerging infectious diseases prevalent in the region (Chikungunya, Dengue, Zika) and globally (Avian and seasonal influenza, MERS-CoV); We invite Infectious disease doctors, trainees and scientists; Clinical and laboratory microbiologists; Infection control professionals including doctors, nurses and epidemiologists; Outbreak control professionals including doctors; epidemiologists and policy makers; Pharmacists and pharmacologists; Scientists and students undertaking research in the related fields; Vaccine professionals including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and policy makers; to attend this important conference.
