This three-day course presents major clinical topics in the field of Rheumatology to assist physicians preparing for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Subspecialty Examination in Rheumatology, and the practicing clinician seeking to improve their care for rheumatology patients. Trainees preparing for their initial board exam - as well as rheumatologists who are candidates for ABIM recertification - are the target audience. The diagnosis and management of difficult and unusual clinical problems will be emphasized; an overview of important advances related to clinical rheumatology will also be included. Nineteen lectures by distinguished clinician-professors will be supplemented by a detailed syllabus to emphasize the issues frequently covered by qualifying examinations, as well as a review of clinical and therapeutic updates.
