The Tourism Research Unit of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) organizes A Panel on “The Role of Geotourism and Ecotourism in Sustainable Tourism Development”, 29-31 May & 1 June 2017 as part of the 13th Annual International Conference on Tourism sponsored by the Athens Journal of Tourism.
The aim of the panel is to bring together academics and researchers from all areas of Ecotourism, Geotourism and other related disciplines.
Areas of interest include (but are not confined to):

Tourism management on Eco-parks and Geo-parks
Ecotourism/GeoTourism and Sustainability
Geo-conservation, Geo-diversity, Geo-morphodiversity in sustainable Tourism

Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A Greek night of entertainment with dinner, a special one-day cruise to selected Greek islands, an archaeological tour of Athens and a one-day visit to Delphi.
