An Introduction to the General Data Protection Regulations

The aim of this talk is to create awareness of the principles, roles, responsibilities and processes under this Regulation.

The topics that will be introduced include:

- What is GDPR?

- The GDPR Principles

- Legal Basis

- Data Subject Rights

- Business and Organisational obligations.

Stephen Black has been in the Information Security and Data Protection field for over 20 years and has been contracted by the Law Enforcement and Defence Sector in the UK, Europe, and the USA. Stephen is a qualified Digital Forensics Expert, Information Security Management Systems Auditor, and GDPR Practitioner.



Latterly, Stephen has been a Lecturer and Consultant in Cyber Security at Belfast Met College and Ulster University. More recently Stephen has been working closely with Michael Osborne at Business First Networks and is the Senior Consultant at Compact Compliance.



The BFN events series will also give you the opportunity to meet up with like-minded business owners in an informal and relaxed environment.
