
Following the highly successful inaugural Fusion DNA Damage Response for Cancer Therapeutics meeting, the second meeting in this series will take place in July 2027. This meeting will focus on current and emerging approaches to targeting the DDR for cancer therapy. Key themes will include advances in PARP inhibitor development, DDR therapeutics based on the concept of synthetic lethality, exploiting replication stress and chromosomal instability through checkpoint inhibition, new modalities in DDR drug discovery, biomarker development for patient stratification and enhancing the efficacy of targeted DNA-damaging agents such as antibody-drug conjugates and radioligand therapies. The meeting aims to bring together academic researchers, translational scientists, clinicians and drug developers from academia, biotech, pharma and healthcare. Through scientific presentations, translational case studies and panel discussions, the meeting will provide an opportunity to review progress in the field, critically assess current challenges and identify future directions for DDR-based cancer therapeutics.
